Relaxed Bed & Breakfast

at Paradise House

PARADISE HOUSE is a Grade II Listed stone-built house within the Conservation Area of the friendly Somerset village of Croscombe.

Thought originally to be a silk-weaver’s hall, Paradise House served as the village’s Post Office in the 1960s, sold tins of paint and also offered the occasional passer-by a bed for the night.

There is no longer a Post Office anywhere in the village and I don’t sell tins of paint!

However, Paradise House welcomes you to enjoy relaxed and friendly 4* Bed & Breakfast with very comfortable well-equipped bedrooms and delicious continental-style breakfasts.

Ideal for a weekend break or a business stay, Croscombe is just 3 miles from Wells, England’s smallest cathedral city, and 2 miles from Shepton Mallet, very convenient for the Royal Bath & West of England Showground with its many events, fairs and conferences throughout the year.

Croscombe nestles under the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making a wonderful centre for walking, cycling or touring more widely.

The nearby Somerset Levels are a unique habitat particularly famous for water fowl.

Bath and Bristol are an easy drive away, and there are many local attractions.

The Olympic Torch is coming to Croscombe!

On Tuesday 22nd May the Olympic Torch Relay is passing through Central Somerset.

Starting in Ilminster, and ending up in Bristol, the relay will snake its way through the Somerset country, visiting Glastonbury, Wells, Shepton and Frome en-route.  It will be in Croscombe at approx. 11.10am on Tuesday morning.
